‘Teen Mom’s’ Catelyn Lowell Gets New Engagement Ring After Second Proposal
Reality TV personalities Catelyn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra are headed for happier times. The Teen Mom stars became fan favorites when they appeared on the show back in 2009. And now the couple are going strong, with their marriage on the horizon as well as a new baby on the way. Just in time for Christmas, Baltierra gave Lowell a new engagement ring. Lowell gushed about the gift on her Instagram by posting a picture of the ring with the caption,
“Babe got me a new engagement ring…. I wasn’t expecting this at all.”
Lowell added, “It even has a baby diamond on the bottom to represent our new little girl…. thank you so much @tylerbaltierramtv I love you!”
Back in 2009, Lowell and Baltierra put their daughter Carly up for adoption since they were both just 16 years old. But now, the couple are ready to raise a family and are eagerly waiting for the arrival of their new baby girl early next year.
Baltierra also showed some love for his fiancé with a heartwarming Instagram post saying,
“She’s the best thing that has ever happened to me. She’s everything I want that I never knew I needed. She’s the most selfless, kind hearted woman that I’m lucky enough to call mine.”
While many are rooting for the young couple, there are still some detractors who think that they are too young to raise a family. Lowell addressed her critics in a short tweet that speaks volumes about her determination to keep her child this time around.

This is the second time that Baltierra proposed to Lowell. The couple were supposed to tie the knot back in July after 10 years of being together, but Baltierra backed out at the last minute claiming he wasn’t ready. However, they wanted to make it work, and they even appeared on the reality show Couples Therapy to work out their issues.
It’s not all smooth sailing for the expectant mother, however. Shortly after announcing her second pregnancy, Lowell revealed that she’s also suffering from depression and anxiety. She is taking medicine to treat her anxiety and depression. It is believed that putting her first daughter up for adoption triggered her symptoms.
Catelyn and Tyler will be releasing their first book, Conquering Chaos, in March 2015.
