‘Dragon Age: Inquisition’ Holiday Weekend Event Rescheduled Due To Recent PSN, Xbox Live Outages

As a result of this past weekend’s intermittent connectivity issues involving both the Playstation Network and Xbox Live, Bioware has announced that they will repeat the weekend multiplayer event that was scheduled to take place within Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Associate Producer at Bioware Edmonton, Billy Buskell, confirmed via Twitter on late Sunday evening that the developer already has plans to re-host the event at a later date to give those who were unable to get online a second chance to enjoy the multiplayer bonus in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

The event itself still took place over this past weekend, but Bioware recognizes that many Dragon Age: Inquisition users were not able to participate due to ongoing issues with Xbox Live and PSN. To give fans an opportunity to enjoy the event, the developer revealed that they intend to hold the Dragon Age: Inquisition multiplayer event again so that all may have a chance to benefit from the bonus objectives. A specific date has not yet been set for the rescheduled event.

Bioware has held several multiplayer event weekends within Dragon Age: Inquisition since the game first released last month. These events task players with completing a bonus objective such as killing a specified amount of enemies with a particular weapon. Those who successfully complete the objective while the event is active will later receive a free commendation chest that has a higher chance of containing rare and unique items for their Dragon Age: Inquisition online characters.

At the start of this past weekend’s event, Buskell posted a screenshot showing that the goal of the most recent Dragon Age: Inquisition multiplayer event challenged users to prove their mastery with a bow by killing 100 enemies with the ranged weapon. Since this was the challenge that was presented to gamers during the event in question, it is likely that fans will once again be given the bow mastery challenge in Dragon Age: Inquisition when the event is rescheduled at the beginning of 2015.

Dragon Age: Inquisition players also recently received a free DLC pack that added new content to the title’s multiplayer mode as the Inquisitr recently reported. The add-on, which was released alongside paid single-player DLC that features the game’s pre-order items, is available for all to download and brings new objectives to the series’ new online co-op feature.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is out now on Playstation 4, Xbox One, Playstation 3, and PC.
