Catelynn Lowell Christmas Present: Reality Show Star Surprised With Engagement Ring
Catelynn Lowell of Teen Mom fame is set to give birth next month. This mom-to-be received an unexpected Christmas surprise, but it wasn’t her new daughter. Rather, her fiancé, Tyler Baltierra, surprised her with an all-new engagement ring.
The pair have been together since their middle school days, and to say that they have been through a lot together is quite an understatement. The two were faced with an unplanned pregnancy when they were teenagers, a situation that eventually landed them on the MTV show 16 and Pregnant. The show chronicled their harrowing struggle between placing their daughter up for adoption or keeping and raising her, despite not being ready for parenthood. In the end, they made the hard decision to place their daughter up for adoption, although the adoption was not closed. That means that Catelynn and Tyler still receive updates on their now 5-year-old daughter, and get to visit with her annually.
Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra planned to walk down the aisle, and Catelynn’s search for the perfect wedding dress was even chronicled on Teen Mom. The two eventually called off the wedding, but not their relationship. They stayed together, and after their reality show was cancelled, they appeared on VH1’s Couples Therapy. There, they did their best to work out their problems, but it was obvious that things were strained between the young couple. They were asked back to MTV for a Being Catelynn special which caught up with the couple. Fans watched as Tyler Batlierra asked for the engagement ring back, and it seemed that the relationship was over. However, he surprised fans (and Catelynn!) be re-proposing to his long-time love at the end of the special.
While the couple has not yet confirmed a wedding date, it was reported back in August that the two will walk down the aisle next spring. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, this will be after Catelynn gives birth to the couple’s second daughter, whose name is not yet known. If the two do choose to walk down the aisle at that time, MTV cameras may be there to capture the event, as Teen Mom is coming back for an all-new season.
Although she didn’t get a Christmas surprise in the form of her new baby, she did get a new engagement ring from Tyler Baltierra. Catelynn Lowell shared the news on her Instagram page with fans, along with a photo and lovely caption.
“Babe got me a new engagement ring…. I wasn’t expecting this at all… it even has a baby diamond on the bottom to represent our new little girl…. thank you so much @tylerbaltierramtv I love you!”
It is obvious that, these days, Catelynn and Tyler are doing great in their relationship, and that things are going well for the couple who have been together for nearly 10 years.
