Devil May Cry HD Collection gets a release date

Capcom announced today that the Devil May Cry HD Collection we heard about back in October will release on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on April 3 of next year.

The package will retail for an agreeable $39.99 and includes the original Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2, and Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition, all of which will have been HD-ified to make them not quite as difficult to look at.

Aside from the obligatory trophy and achievement support, Capcom says that the Devil May Cry HD Collection will include some bonus content as well, though the company didn’t say whether that’s a bonus of the in-game sort, or some sort of packaged-in artwork and what not.

The first and third games are both phenomenal games, so I’d say the package is more than worth the asking price for those two titles alone. Devil May Cry 2 isn’t quite as good as either of them, to put it mildly, but it’s at least tolerable.

You can check out a video of all three games in the Devil May Cry HD Collection below.
