Amanda Bynes is doing better emotionally and physically, according to the latest report from TMZ. Bynes’ emotional health has made for a terrible year for the child-star. Now, family and friends say she is improving and they are hopeful that things will continue to improve for The Amanda Show actress.
Right now, she is no longer in a manic state and is no longer taking medications. It is also true that she is finding natural and homeopathic ways to live a more stress free life. Pilates, yoga, and meditation are helping Amanda Bynes to cope.
It was reported earlier this year that Amanda Bynes was homeless and wandering the dangerous streets of West Hollywood. She was also seen sleeping in a sitting area at a mall. News outlets reported that Amanda Bynes’ family was in control of her money, leaving the former Nickelodeon star with barely enough money to survive from day to day.
TMZ reported that the situation became so dire that Amanda wanted to kill her entire family, and those sentiments were caught on audio. In the audio tape, Amanda Bynes can be heard stating that she desired to slit her mother’s wrists, burn down the house, and take her father to a ditch and murder him in some way, perhaps by slitting his throat.
The horrifying audio shocked her fans as it became evident that her emotional and psychological health was in deep decline. After the damning audiotape was released, Amanda Bynes stated that she was only joking about killing her family, according to the Inquisitr.
“I said what I said in jest & if you don’t understand that then know I’m in therapy to talk about my dad issues and that will solve my concerns with ppl invading my private life. I am one of the most thoughtful girls you’ll ever meet so don’t read into what I joke about. [sic]”
It was rumored that Thousand Oaks, California, native Amanda Bynes had been diagnosed with schizophrenia with bipolar disorder. In an interview with People in April, her attorney denied that the schizophrenia diagnosis was true, according to Yahoo News.
“Amanda currently is on zero medication. She’s devoted to living her life as healthy as possible. She’s never had a history of abusing alcohol or hard drugs, and she’s proud to say she’s been marijuana-free for the past nine months.”
Nevertheless, the latest news about Bynes’ improvement is a relief to many of her friends and family members, whose only desire is to see that she remains stable emotionally. The reality, however, is that her stability is most likely just temporary — as people with mental illnesses often relapse after several months, returning to several months of chaos before they stabilize again.
