‘RHOA’ Star NeNe Leakes Not Leaving Show After All?

Will RHOA be NeNe Leakes-less when the show returns for Season 8? Although the eighth installment of The Real Housewives of Atlanta has yet to be announced by Bravo, rumors have been swirling for months in regard to whether Leakes, who has been with the show since Season 1, will be back.

Earlier this week, according to a December 22 report by Wetpaint Entertainment, Leakes stopped by Sway in the Morning at Sirius XM, where she discussed her future with on RHOA.

During the appearance, a fan called in, applauding Leakes on her recent success, which includes a role on Broadway, a guest starring spot on Glee, and a successful clothing line for the Home Shopping Network. Then, the fan asked the question that’s been on everyone’s mind.

“Do you feel like it’s time for you to move on, that this is your last season?” the fan asked of Leakes’ role on RHOA.

“I always have one foot in and one foot out. I quit every year, and still end up back on the show,” she admitted. “The show is an amazing platform, let me say that, but it is very difficult when you do all of these different things and then you go and sit with these girls and they be side-eyeing you like, ‘Why they pick her? Why is she on Broadway?’ It makes it very difficult to go to work with them every day because they be looking at you crazy.”

While Leakes didn’t directly confirm she was 100 percent on returning, she did give reason to think she’d be back.

“I won’t let somebody steal my thunder or take my check,” she said.

As the Inquisitr reported earlier this month, Leakes discussed the hate between her and her RHOA co-stars after revealing not one of them has come to see her Broadway show.

“I don’t know any other way to say it, except the hate is real. The hate is really real,” she said, according to a Bravo report. “We have our differences, but in some big instances I’d be there to support.”

While no one has come yet, Leakes revealed her co-stars Porsha Williams and Phaedra Parks are expected to catch one of her shows this week.

“If they don’t want to come, it’s fine. Because I’m killing the character,” she added of the rest of the cast, which includes Cynthia Bailey, Kandi Burruss, and Kenya Moore.

RHOA airs on Bravo every Sunday night at 8 p.m.
