Stocking Stuffers: Last Minute Gift Ideas For Anyone On Your List

Stocking stuffers can be a integral part of the holiday season. My mother usually used the stockings to hold added accessories for the larger gifts — mainly batteries. But, a stocking can hold so much more. So, I have compiled a list of some great last minute stocking stuffer ideas.

Earbuds: This may seem like the obvious and dull choice, however, ear buds are always getting tangled, broken, or simply getting lost. It seems like everyone uses ear buds for something — at work, exercising, or to block out those annoying holiday visitors. They come in a range of styles to please everyone.

Battery Backups: Barron’s recommends the 10-ounce, Anker backup, which is around $30 bucks. Though, Amazon has a number of battery backups available. Anyone that carries a cell phone or tablet knows the distress of having a battery go dead. With a backup battery as a stocking stuffer, recipients will have no longer worry about dead batteries.

Socks: Socks are always a thoughtful stocking stuffer. Plain white or black socks are fine, just really boring. Warm things up with fuzzy, themed, or really cute socks. I haven’t met anyone that would say no to socks.

Favorite candies can be a pleasant surprise.

Candy: Everyone has a favorite candy they go crazy for. What’s better than finding that treat in your stocking Christmas morning? Or there is that option of giving a novelty candy. Dodoburd suggests Tabasco Spicy Chocolate to give a little zip to someone’s morning.

Mugs: Novelty mugs are everywhere, from plain to heat-sensitive, color changing Doctor Who inspired mugs. Pick one out that fits the fandom or personality of the person on your gift list and you can’t go wrong. You can get fancy and stuff a mug warmer into the stocking as well, to make things more exciting.

Books: Books are a fantastic stocking stuffer for the reader in your family. With new stories coming out all the time, there are plenty of books to choose from.

Gift Cards: Gift cards are like giving out money, only more specialized. This year, the most sought after cards may be from Starbucks, with the company even offering virtual gift cards. Don’t just slip the card into the stocking, jazz it up before with some creative wrappings.

Candles: Set the mood with a wonderfully scented candle as a surprise in a stocking this year. I personally like the idea of a chalkboard candle.

Bacon: No, not actually a pack of meat, that would not be a good stocking stuffer. But if you know any fans of bacon there are a lot of unique products to choose from. There are bacon bandages and soaps, to more edible items such as candy canes and bacon spread.

Key Chains: Key chains come in a large range of styles, and there really is one for any person on your list. They are small, usually inexpensive, and slide nicely into a stocking.

This holiday season don’t forget the small things. Stocking stuffers make great last minute gifts that the whole family will love.
