Phaedra Parks Talks Ridiculous Lawsuits: ‘People Want Money, Fame And Attention’

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks has been a practicing lawyer for years, so she has seen her fair share of odd lawsuits over the years. And on Sunday’s episode of the show, Parks had to deal with yet another crazy case. Phaedra’s friend, Derek J, runs his own salon, and he was being sued by a lady who claimed that he had snatched her good hair extensions and had put in some less-than-pleasing ones. In other words, he was being sued for stealing her hair. When Parks first heard the case, she laughed.

Even though he took it seriously, Phaedra Parks couldn’t help but point out the hilarious aspects of this case. As Parks said on the show, people tend to sue for the most ridiculous things when success is spotted. And it sounds like Phaedra could be speaking from personal experience.

According to a new Bravo report, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks is now revealing that people are willing to go far to get money, fame, and attention. And sadly, innocent and hard-working people are often the victims.

“I wasn’t surprised at all, as we live in a very litigious society. The number of frivolous lawsuits has increased significantly in recent years and gets more interesting as the years go by. Derek J has worked very hard to become very well known in his field. Unfortunately, this makes him a target for people who are looking for money, fame, and/or attention. Too often, people access money, fame, and/or attention by making sensational claims/accusations at the expense of those who have worked hard to achieve success and notoriety,” Phaedra Parks explains of the ridiculous lawsuit that was haunting her friend.

It was nice to see Phaedra doing something fun for a change, as she has been dealing with her estranged husband. According to the Inquisitr, Apollo Nida revealed that he wanted a divorce from Parks, even though many thought that she had been the one who wanted out. Now he wants to see his children in jail and Parks is keeping them at home.

“I can’t see why she would continue to hurt me by not allowing me to see my boys,” Apollo Nida has said, adding, “This isn’t right. If I don’t see my children for eight years, that would be some bulls—, and I would fight for that right! Who in their right mind would allow children to be away from their father for eight years, regardless of where the father is at in the world?”

“You know what, I would love to,” Phaedra revealed about visiting him in jail with his children, adding, “I’ve sent him a Christmas card and everything. I speak to him all the time.”

It sounds like these two are actually being civil and cordial for the sake of their children.

What do you think about Phaedra Parks’ comments about fame, money, and attention? Do you think Phaedra should take her kids to see their father?
