Jordan Axani Finds His Elizabeth Gallagher For Around The World Trip, But Her Boyfriend Isn’t Happy

Remember the viral story about Jordan Axani, who purchased plane tickets for an “around the world” vacation with his girlfriend for the holidays, only to get dumped by his lover a couple months before the already paid for trip? The breakup left Axani with multiple plane tickets for a woman that would not be taking the trip with him. Therefore, Axani took to Reddit to attempt to find another Canadian woman with the name Elizabeth Gallagher that would like a free trip around the world. It looks like Axani found his new Elizabeth Gallagher, but she has a boyfriend and he is less than thrilled about the trip.

The story went viral after Axani posted the once-in-a-lifetime itinerary which included stops in Milan, Prague, Paris, Bangkok, and New Dehli. Axani admitted that once the breakup occurred, he stopped planning the trip. Therefore, the other Elizabeth Gallagher would be on her own for finding hotel stays or trains needed on the trip.

The Daily Mail reports that the new Elizabeth met the “ad” requirements and is a holder of a Canadian passport and has the full name of Elizabeth Quinn Gallagher. However, there is one problem – the new Elizabeth has a boyfriend, and he isn’t too happy about his girlfriend traveling around the world with another man for the holidays.

“‘He understands that I’ve always wanted to travel so while he’s not happy I’m taking off for nearly a month at Christmas with a random guy he’s smiling through it,’ Gallagher said of her boyfriend, who she plans to purchase a home with. “

The Daily Mail also notes that after the story went viral, Marriott International made an offer to provide free hotel rooms to Axani and his flight companion should be make the trip. The company is providing two separate rooms, one for Axani and one for the new Elizabeth Gallagher.

According to Traveller, Elizabeth Quinn Gallagher wasn’t the only applicant for the trip. In fact, Axani claims to have received some very odd propositions from people, both male and female, who said they would be willing to legally change their name in order to take the trip. However, Axani said he “picked Gallagher, a homeless shelter volunteer, after talking with her on the phone and becoming impressed with her social conscience.” The pair said that the entire trip will remain platonic.

The pair are scheduled to depart on the journey on December 21.
