Savage Offers Gingrich $1 Million to Drop Out, Levin Offers Savage $100,000 to Shut Up

People are just throwing around million dollar offers today. Conservative radio host Michael Savage offered Newt Gingrich $1 million if he agreed to drop out of the race. In response, Mark Levin, who hosts a radio show during the same time as Savage, offered his conservative counterpart $100,000 to resign from his radio show.

Levin said:

“I see ‘Weiner Nation’ is trying to get his ratings back. That won’t happen. He wants to offer Newt a million dollars to get out of the race… I’ll offer $100,000 if “Weiner Nation” gets off the air on every single station and resigns forever from radio tomorrow.”

Levin said that his offer was more than generous, since according to Levin, Savage is “losing affiliates left and right.”

Savage, a Republican offered Newt Gingrich $1 million to drop out of the GOP race. Savage said that he made the offer because Newt is an “unelectable” candidate and could hurt the Republican’s chance at beating President Obama in the 2012 election.

Savage wrote on his website:

Newt Gingrich is unelectable. Any of the other candidates would have a more viable chance of defeating Barack Obama, and there is nothing more important than that for the future health, safety and security of the United States of America. Therefore, I am offering Newt Gingrich one million dollars to drop out of the presidential race for the sake of the nation.”

Newt Gingrich, who pledged yesterday not to cheat on his third wife, is still leading the polls for the GOP nomination, but Savage believes that Newt would be destroyed if he faced Obama in an election.

What do you think? Is Newt Gingrich an electable candidate? Should Michael Savage accept Mark Levin’s offer and leave the airwaves?
