Baby Traveler’s Note Viral: Baby Delivers Package To Guy Sitting Next To Her On Her First Flight

Most frequent airline travelers know that it’s definitely not easy having an assigned seat next to a small child flying on an aircraft for the first time. However, one little girl recently gave the passenger next to her a fair warning, and it was probably done in the most creative way possible!

On December 12, a Reddit user uploaded a picture of a note and care package he received from the little passenger.

The caption for the picture read, “A baby just handed me this on my flight. I ain’t mad.”

Apparently, little one-year-old Madeline and her parents were assigned to be seated next to him. However, he received quite a surprise when he sat down next to the little lady. She handed him a little care package to make their flight a little easier! The note, which was sealed inside of a plastic bag, basically revealed that the flight would be her first time flying. It also cited a number of the possibilities that could make the ride a little less than desirable.

Here’s the adorable letter she delivered:

Hi Stranger!

My name is Madeline. I will be 1 on December 17th and this is my first flight. I’ll try to be on my best behavior, but I’d like to apologize in advance if I lose my cool, get scared or my ears hurt. My mom and dad packed you this goodies bag with a few treats. There are also earplugs in case my first public serenade isn’t as enjoyable to you as it is my mom and dad.

Although some found the gesture adorable, many viewers questioned why the parents would allow the little girl to walk up to a stranger. Some viewers even went a step further to specifically question why the child should have to justify her actions, which would be completely normal for her age.

“I love the gesture and I think this was a very kind thing to do, however I am disappointed that the parents didn’t take the initiative and do this first. It shouldn’t be left up to the baby to make others on the flight feel comfortable,” one viewer said.

“Whether the kid freaks out and cries the entire flight or not, this gesture is just as much for the parents as it is for everyone sitting around them. There’s nothing like having a screaming, inconsolable kid in a public place and being totally embarrassed. It makes the situation 10 times worse. I would absolutely do this just to not have to feel horrible if my kid melts down on the flight. I can focus on them and not the people around me. Great idea,” another viewer said.
