Iggy Azalea has won acclaim for her amazing style of rapping and commanding a stage, but Iggy wasn’t feeling very Azalea-like in New York City on Friday evening at a Jingle Ball event at Madison Square Garden.
Originally born Amethyst Amelia Kelly in Australia, Iggy Azalea is a 24-year-old model and musical artist from Mullumbimby, New South Wales. Azalea was walking into the Jingle Ball event when Iggy seemed to wave politely to the fans and photographers waiting outside the event and screaming “Iggy, Iggy, Iggy!” in every direction.
Suddenly, the crowd screaming Azalea’s name turned on Iggy, perhaps angered by the fact that Iggy didn’t pause long enough for the photographers to take her photo. Or maybe fans of Iggy expected Azalea to stop and sign her “Iggy Azalea” John Hancock signature on their Iggy memorabilia.
Either way, the TMZ video titled “Who dat, who dat… it’s I-G-G-Y… and she’s flipping off her fans” shows what appears to be Iggy hearing the boos of the once-adoring crowd, so Azalea looks like she thrusts her middle finger in the air, flipping off the fans and paparazzi who no doubt wanted close-up Iggy pics, but ended up with something more buzzworthy.
Iggy didn’t use her trademark humor to deflect the booing crowd, as she did recently to respond to rumors that Azalea was born a man, as reported by the Inquisitr.
Although it’s hard to see Iggy allegedly flipping the bird in the TMZ video, it wasn’t the first time Azalea has thrown up her middle finger, according to Cambio, which shows a different photo of Iggy Azalea putting up her middle finger – not whilst heading into a Jingle Ball event – but during a concert and from the stage.
The TMZ article that chronicles Iggy Azalea flipping the bird is already gaining comments that claim the “Fancy” rapper should be more appreciative of her fans, instead of giving the crowd the brush off. Although TMZ says it’s pretty clear that Azalea threw up a serious flip-off that stated Iggy wasn’t kidding with her fans, no doubt Azalea will clear things up in a coming interview or song, wherein Iggy is not shy to express herself via her lyrics.
“Damn she too thick; who is this? I’m his new bi#%h!”
According to the New York Daily News, Iggy Azalea did a bang up job at the Jingle Ball event, along with Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande.
