Zoe Saldana Gives Birth To Twins

Zoe Saldana and husband Marco Perego have welcomed twin boys to their family. Zoe gave birth earlier this week in a Los Angeles area hospital. The names of the twins have not yet been confirmed.

The Mirror first broke the news that Saldana had given birth. The twins are Zoe’s first children. They quoted sources that Saldana and Perego were excited to finally meet the twins. They also report that Zoe will raise her children to speak both English and Spanish since Zoe’s mother is from Puerto Rico.

“This a dream come true for both of them, they are absolutely delighted. They have been looking forward this day for the last nine months.”

E! News confirmed the delivery late Friday evening.

“She had her twins [and Zoe and Marco] are both so excited. They are surrounded by family and friends. All that matters now to Zoe and her husband is that the babies are healthy.”

Saldana spoke with E! during her pregnancy. Zoe told Maria Menounos that she enjoyed having a healthy appetite. Zoe also said that she was not worried about motherhood, that it would happen whether or not she felt prepared.

Zoe also said that the birth will not affect her roles in any of the major blockbusters that she is scheduled to film in the next few years.

“The good thing is that half of the people you work with are all parents, and they get it. They probably have strong wives at home that are probably going to look at them going, ‘Are you out of your mind?!’ See, it’s having strong women around you! Once we all come together, it’s perfect.”

News of Saldana’s pregnancy first broke in July, shortly after she and Marco celebrated their first wedding anniversary. Zoe later revealed news that she was expecting twins, as covered by the Inquisitr. She and Marco were married in 2013 in a private ceremony in London. Marco, 35, is an Italian artist.

Support for Zoe, Marco, and the twins has come from fans and celebrities alike.
