Kim Kardashian Celebrates Holidays By Restoring Pre-Baby Bikini Body With 55-Pound Weight Loss [Video]

Santa Claus is packing up his sleigh, and Kim Kardashian is oh-so-ready to receive those gifts. After sharing her weight loss success with the world by ensuring that photographs of her posterior broke the internet (or tried to), Kardashian is planning an uber-expensive Christmas holiday. But it’s not just about presents for herself, she told People magazine. Kim and her husband Kanye West also are anticipating their daughter North West’s joy when she sees her special gift.

And to those who anticipate that North will grow up to be an over-indulged child, Kim is quick to challenge that assumption.

“We try not to spoil, but we have something nice that I think she’ll really love. It just got delivered so when we move in [to our new home], she’ll see this new, fun play stuff that we got for her. We’re going to show her on Christmas.”

Kardashian also is enjoying introducing her 18-month-old daughter to holiday traditions. And one of them is something most parents will recognize. (No, it’s not scary purple Barney the Dinosaur with dino-pal Baby Bop in a holiday wreath.)

“My daughter is obsessed with ‘Elf On The Shelf’ so she saw two of them and screamed.It’s her most exciting thing.”

To those not familiar with Elf On The Shelf, it’s a tiny creature rumored to move about on its own, as shown below.

In addition to celebrating the holidays with her family, Kim is feeling triumphant about her weight loss. Initially, she felt frustrated, using social media to express her desire to restore her pre-baby body.

“Off to an intense workout. Can’t seem to shake this last 15-20 lbs of baby weight. No more excuses. My baby is 1 years old! UGH. I’m not gonna call it baby weight bc that’s an excuse. I just gained weight & that’s it.”

However, Kardashian found success with the high-fat, low-carb Atkins diet. A ketogenic weight loss plan, the Atkins diet helped Kim lose 55 pounds in 11 months, reported the Daily Mail.

Kim focused on moderate amounts of protein, healthy fats such as avocado and nuts, and non-starchy vegetables. But she challenged those who reported that she weighed 200 pounds at one point during her pregnancy, telling Jay Leno that she was proud of what she did lose but wanted to be candid about her real weight loss success.

As the Inquisitr reported, Kendra Wilkinson also chose the Atkins diet for her post-pregnancy weight loss.

“I researched the perfect diet for after baby… I love meat, I love vegetables, it’s low-carb… it’s working so good… You have to go on a diet and really take care of your body.”
