‘Nashville’ Spoilers, Midseason Return Scoop: Rayna’s Wedding Day Arrives, Deacon Collapses
The winter finale of Nashville airs Wednesday night on NBC and fans are anxious to see just what happens. It’s time for Rayna’s wedding to Luke, but will she really go through with it? Deacon is struggling with the attention surrounding Rayna’s big day, and it looks like it may take a serious toll on him. What Nashville spoilers are available for the Season 3, Episode 10 show?
Wednesday’s winter finale is titled “First to Have a Second Chance.” TV Guide teases that while Rayna and Luke are approaching their big day, chances are low that it will go off without a hitch. Luke’s insecurities have been showing and Rayna’s love for him may not be enough to make a marriage work.
Viewers will also meet Sadie Stone’s ex-husband in this episode, and there will be fireworks. It seems he may be a bit possessive of her success and it becomes a problem. What else can fans expect in this one? The synopsis teases Nashville spoilers that Rayna is feeling anxious about leaving her girls to go on tour again and she’s not happy about Luke’s choices when he’s parenting on his own.
Layla is flirting with her boss, but Will is not happy with what he sees. In addition, Teddy is using his power to find a former flame while Avery turns to his mom for some advice. The show’s Facebook page teases that a new story will begin as others end, and there is a frightening shot of Deacon passed out on the floor. He’s got the Rolling Stone magazine next to him, and seemingly some booze.
Fans are worried that Deacon may not recover from this one and they’re about ready to riot. Would the show really kill off or get rid of Deacon? It seems unlikely, but it also seems as if Nashville fans may well be left hanging over the holiday break.
Charles Esten, who plays Deacon, shared some additional Nashville spoilers and teasers via TVLine. He says that sometimes his wife reads his scripts before he does. When it came to this particular script, he heard quite the reaction, a gasp, from her from the other room as she read. Will the actual story in Wednesday’s episode live up to the hype?
“First to Have a Second Chance” apparently will pick up a few weeks after Deacon’s talk with Rayna, where he professed his love and she said she was still marrying Luke. Esten says that he can’t share specifics, of course, but that Deacon and Rayna’s relationship is now entering a new phase as he has to try to move on.
Deacon will head to Memphis to try to get away from all of the wedding hoopla, but it seemingly doesn’t work all that well. Scarlett tags along and they will perform a duet while out on the town together. It seems that after that, things get dark again for Deacon as he can’t escape the wedding coverage and he becomes vulnerable to his addiction.
Just how long will viewers be left hanging before Season 3 begins again? It seems that this winter hiatus won’t be too terribly long. According to the Futon Critic, new episodes of Nashville return on Wednesday, January 7 and fans should get confirmation of that date soon.
