Interview Proves Liam Payne Is Fine, Twitter Can Relax [Video]

Liam Payne recently had Twitter, well, all a-twitter Sunday night after posting what Cambio referred to as a “cryptic tweet.” While his One Direction bandmates were tweeting about X Factor performances and the band’s show in Amsterdam, which Liam also did, Payne sent out a tweet that said, “There are things in life that really matter, there are a lot of things that don’t. Think it’s time to draw a line and leave the rest unknown.”

With the worried responses he received, you’d think he had just said he was leaving his famous band, One Direction. The tweet received over 110,00 retweets and some responses were, “I don’t know what’s up with you love…” and “something wrong?” Talk about reading into things.

Luckily, Liam retweeted a fan saying, “it means … loads of things happen in life and we worry about things that don’t matter when we can never really understand them.”

Ah, so deep. But just in case fans were still worried, Unreality TV posted an interview that should ease their worried minds.

The interview, conducted by 4Music‘s Will Best, was with both Liam and Harry Styles, his bandmate and friend. There was no mention of said “cryptic tweet,” and Liam seemed to be in good spirits joking around with the interviewer and Harry.

When Will asked about if the album was purposely more mature than previous albums, Harry and Liam agreed that their work developed and matured as the boys in the band did. The interviewer then took the idea of the boys maturing with their music and asked what the most mature thing was that Liam had done. Liam stated that he “cooked a mean Chinese …” Yikes. The interviewer was quick to crack the joke, “What was so mean about it? Was it swearing at you?” The joke was caught and appreciated by all.

Will also shared fan questions such as “What’s the manliest thing you’ve ever done?” and “Who’s got the best moves on the dance floor?” Both Harry and Liam answered the questions in a joking manner, cracking jokes at each other’s expense and having a good time with the interviewer.

And to think just a few days before, Liam had all his 1D fans up in arms over his thought-provoking tweet. Who would have thought that 140 characters could cause such a reaction? Maybe he’s just working on his songwriting. After this interview showing a good-natured Liam, I think it’s safe to say that his fans do not have to worry about Liam Payne.
