‘American Horror Story’ Cast Tired Of Stars’ Drama

American Horror Story might focus around the macabre, but each season has also featured some sort of a romance between a number of the characters. Whether intentional at the outset or simply the way things have unfolded, each American Horror Story season tends to have actor Evan Peters as one of the principal love interests. On the show, the romances are very much star-crossed. Off the screen, Evan Peters and Emma Roberts have managed to forge a relationship that the show’s best writers couldn’t dream up.

The on-again, off-again couple apparently have quite a bit of chemistry when they are shooting American Horror Story. Most reports indicate that once the cameras shut off, the two are usually engaging in some heavy petting. Other times, Roberts and Peters are at each other’s throats (literally). It appears that the pair’s behavior is starting to wear on other cast members of American Horror Story, to the point where one has to wonder if either Evan or Emma might be left off the casting calls for the next season.

In AHS: Freak Show, Peters’ character is known as the “Lobster Boy” because of his oddly deformed hands. Roberts plays a con-woman who is pretending to be a psychic in order to infiltrate Elsa’s show. While originally looking to get into Lobster Boy’s good graces simply to get better access, the two characters have hit it off, and are now an actual couple. It stands to reason that their chemistry off camera helps to convince viewers they really like each other when shooting, but it seems some other members of the ensemble would rather they kept their affections more private.

While there is some level of annoyance at the sheer volume of make-out sessions going on during filming, Roberts’ for one has been a surprising joy to work with, according to Angela Bassett.

Roberts has earned a reputation as a bit of a diva, but her American Horror Story co-star for two seasons now said, “Emma is pretty crazy, especially last night, it was she and I till midnight outdoors in the cold. She’s pretty funny,” the Oscar-nominated actress told Emmy Magazine in November.

Evan, also has to be liked by at least a decent contingent of the cast, considering he is one of the only members of AHS who has made an appearance in every season. The fact that he’s taken on a different kind of role in each season shows he’s got the range. American Horror Story regulars would just like to see the lovebirds tone it down a notch.
