Justin Timberlake Spotted At Garth Brooks Concert
Apparently Justin Timberlake is quite the Garth Brooks fan. During a brief break in his tour schedule, Timberlake took in a Brooks show in St. Louis. Far from hiding backstage, the former ‘N Sync star was in the audience with other concert goers.
As the Riverfront Times reported, Timberlake’s excitement quickly spread through social media, with fans taking snaps of Timberlake on his feet in the seats and singing along with the music.
One tweet clearly shows the music icon smiling broadly, with his back to the stage, holding up a phone to the audience behind him. If he took a pic of the fans, it did not immediately make his Instagram page, although he did post a backstage picture of himself and Garth. Timberlake was apparently gushing over Brooks, as his Instagram caption was unambiguous about his admiration.
“One of my IDOLS. Garth… You are a MASTER of your craft. I am in awe of you, still,” he wrote.

Apparently, the feeling was mutual between Timberlake and Brooks, if the broad smile on Garth’s face was any indication. Brooks’ country superstar wife, Trisha Yearwood, returned the favor of an Instagram pic. She posted a nice photo of herself standing next to Timberlake, with the caption, “@justintimberlake is one class act! #stlouis.”
Country music commentators were quick to notice the camaraderie between Timberlake and Brooks, and speculate maybe the pop singer could have a future in country music.
The Riverfront Times noted that back in the day, before he was a mega superstar, Timberlake performed a Garth Brooks song in a Memphis talent competition. Taste of Country said maybe Timberlake, given his Brooks admiration, might “consider bringing country back.” Staci Wuokko, writing on US 99.5, expressed a similar aspiration.
“Now, if only we could get them to do a concert together. Hey, we can dream, right?”
Timberlake apparently went a bit out of his way to go to the Brooks show in St. Louis. The December 4 concert was Garth’s first of four dates in the city. Timberlake is touring himself, and had a date in Dallas on December 3 and one in Oklahoma City on December 5.
Timberlake and his wife, actress Jessica Biel, are popular fodder for celebrity media watchers. Biel is under constant speculation that she is expecting a child. Recently, Timberlake posted a sweet picture on Instagram of he and Biel sitting on a cliff top, looking at the ocean. His caption captured the sentiment of the moment with a quote from an old movie.
“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. –Ferris.”
