‘The Walking Dead:’ Morgan, Beth, And Where The Series Goes Now

With the mid-season finale over for The Walking Dead, there appears to be more questions than answers about what’s going to happen when the season picks up in the new year. If you haven’t been caught up to date in the goings ons for The Walking Dead, you probably aren’t going to want to read any further as this article is going to be chalk full of The Walking Dead spoilers.

With the departure of Beth, having been killed by an errant gun shot after she stabbed Dawn in the collar, it appears it might be time to add another character onto the regular rotation. The Walking Dead has been pretty good about only taking away known characters when new ones are also added to the show. Very rarely does this group ever really thin the heard. So, who might be joining up in the second half of this season?

Those who watched the first half season finale saw a character that The Walking Dead fans have been aching to see more often. Morgan still appears to be hot on the heels of Rick and his group. Is it possible that once The Walking Dead comes back to television later in the winter, that we’ll finally see him find the others. One of the most popular episodes of last season of The Walking Dead was when Rick and Carl very briefly ran across a slightly insane Morgan, who was still trying to deal with the death of his son.

Morgan has already made two very quick appearances in this season of the The Walking Dead and both have appeared to be something of a teaser for later in the year. The show’s creators are still just teasing us as no one can really tell just how close to the main group Morgan has now gotten.

Some fans of the show care less about Morgan finding Rick and company, and more about finding a way for Beth (played by Emily Kinney) to somehow make a return. The problem, of course is that everyone saw a bullet tear it’s way through the top of Beth’s head. It seems unlikely that there would be anyway in which the writers could claim she somehow survived that wound.

It’s even less likely since none of the people with her did any sort of CPR. They treated her as dead. While it’s almost impossible that Beth is going to make a return (unless the show does some flashbacks), it seems more than likely Morgan will finally become a big part of this season on The Walking Dead.
