PSA: Xbox Live Update is now live (finally)

The December Xbox Live update was supposed to begin rolling out early Tuesday morning with the goal being to have the update live in all regions by early afternoon, but the launch didn’t go according to plan and Microsoft had to delay the release.

Microsoft appears to have it all sorted out now, and the December Xbox Live update started its gradual roll-out about an hour ago. If you’re staying up late because you simply can’t wait until tomorrow to check out the all-new dashboard, you may have to wait an hour or so before the update hits your region.

Aside from the new Metro dashboard being introduced in the update, Xbox Live members will also gain access to a number of video content from a variety of providers. If you’re not impressed by the initial offering, don’t worry – Microsoft is planning to introduce many more content providers to Xbox Live later on in the month. For more on that, check this post.
