Speculation linking Angel Di Maria with a move to Paris Saint-Germain from Manchester Untied continues to gather pace.
Angel Di Maria only completed his $100 million move to Manchester United from Real Madrid in the summer. However, despite the fact that he has played only a handful of games for the Red Devils, there are already rumors that he is looking for a move away from Old Trafford.
The Spanish website Fichajes [via Metro] have reported that the Argentinian winger has come to the conclusion that he is unhappy with life at Manchester United. It was then noted that Di Maria could move to Paris Saint-German within the near future, and it was even claimed that his agent has already held talks with the club over a potential transfer.
The Argentinian winger was previously close to joining Paris Saint-Germain in the summer. After Real Madrid made it known that they were looking to sell Angel Di Maria, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain became the main candidates for his signature.
Louis Van Gaal managed to secure his transfer after Manchester United placed a $100 million bid for the player. Paris Saint-Germain allegedly believed that this was too much for the player. However they are now willing to pay this sum for Di Maria, but Manchester United will probably be hoping for a larger sum since they have only had the player's services for a few months and Di Maria's contract still has several years left to run.
Di Maria previously exacerbated rumors over his potential exit during an interview with Sport magazine. Di Maria admitted that he has struggled to adjust to the cold climate in northern England.
"It's much colder here and it gets dark a lot earlier than in Spain. I have no problem with the food or anything - there is not much difference between what I had in Spain and what I have here. My only problem is with the cold temperatures."
It remains highly unlikely that Angel Di Maria will actually Manchester United at this early stage in his career. But the fact that he is constantly being linked with a move away from the club means the prospect that he'll remain at Old Trafford for the rest of his career looks slim to none.
