WWE News: The Icon Sting’s Complete WWE Contract Details Revealed

Sting made an strong impact when he arrived in the WWE at Survivor Series. His debut in World Wrestling Entertainment didn’t come as a surprise considering it was spoiled the day before the pay-per-view. Regardless, his debut was probably the most-anticipated debut in all of professional wrestling.

As soon as Sting left St. Louis, Missouri that night, the question then became simple: when will he come back next? The Monday Night Raw after Survivor Series had high ratings due to the “want” of Sting being so high. However, he didn’t show up on Raw, leaving the WWE Universe disappointed and wanting more.

From the beginning, WWE fans wanted to know if his contract would be similar to that of Brock Lesnar’s. The Beast Incarnate did sign a deal that pays per visit to WWE TV. He’ll be used more after the Royal Rumble, which makes sense. His WrestleMania 31 main event is nearly locked in with Roman Reigns.

Last month, The Inquisitr provided an update on Sting’s status with the WWE, before he appeared at Survivor Series. His contract details were minimal at the time, but now they are official. Wrestling News Source is reporting that Sting’s contract is one that is unique and offers a lot of questions to hopefully be answered soon.

Pro-wrestling legend Sting has signed a Performer’s Contract with WWE according to Busted Open Radio.

“The Icon” who made his first WWE in-ring appearance at Survivor Series has reportedly signed a deal for six appearances with one of them being his WWE debut.

This type of contract is pretty unique and quite possibly the most limited of all contracts for a part time performer in WWE history. It will be interesting to see how Sting is used between now and his speculated WrestleMania 31 match.

The WWE Universe is still waiting for Sting’s first appearance after Survivor Series, on top of his inevitable match at WrestleMania. As a fan, I want Sting to wrestle one more time before WrestleMania 31. It doesn’t matter whom it is against, because that match will be the greatest match in quite some time. Reason being, the nostalgia factor will raise the roof, almost quite literally.

Sting is a legend in the wrestling business. It doesn’t take a professional wrestling scribe to tell the causal fan that much. He was a fixture in WCW, and then again in TNA. WWE fans never got to see Sting in action under the Vince McMahon reign. Now he finally has a chance to show the WWE fans what he’s got, even at an old age. That doesn’t matter for the Sting, fortunately, because the WWE fans are more-excited than ever to see him in action.

After that first Stinger Splash and Scorpion Deathdrop are hit, the WWE Universe will erupt. Think of the biggest pop of all-time, and then multiply that by 50. Now, that’s quite the pop.
