Teresa Giudice Could Still Be On ‘Housewives’: Will Bravo Offer Her A Post-Prison Deal?

Teresa Giudice might still have a job on The Real Housewives Of New Jersey after all. According to Radar Online, Bravo is hesitant to start filming a new season without Teresa, who has been a staple on the show since the very first episode. The mother of four is heading to prison in January, and many just assumed that her reality television career was over… but that might not be the case after all.

“Bravo is very nervous to do the show without Teresa. They fear that without her, the show will not be as big of a success,” a source explained. “They’re exploring shelving the season until 2016, when Teresa gets out of prison. By having her fresh out of prison, there would be a clear storyline. It would also pull on fans’ heartstrings to see the changed Teresa back in the limelight,” the source added.

Teresa Giudice will be serving a 15-month prison sentence after agreeing to a plea deal in a federal fraud case. Her husband, Joe Giudice, will go to prison after Teresa is out, and was sentenced to 41 months behind bars. Losing the Giudices will undoubtedly be a huge blow, as the show very much revolved around them, especially in Season 6.

According to E! News, Andy Cohen (who is the executive producer of RHONJ) recently revealed that there are no definitive plans to move on with a new season of the popular franchise.

“We have not made any plans relating to the future of the Jersey Housewives. The final reunion is airing tonight, and we’ll go back and meet and talk and re-evaluate soon,” Cohen said during a Reddit AMA session on Nov. 11.

Teresa Giudice would probably want to do the show again because she will need the money. However, she has not said anything about a possible return one way or another. During the reunion show, she teared up as she held Andy Cohen’s hand, and admitted that it was “probably” her last reunion. Perhaps it wasn’t.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Bravo has reportedly asked Caroline Manzo to rejoin the cast, likely in an effort to build some viewership and interest following Teresa seemingly obvious departure. However, not having Teresa is going to be a major blow… one that Manzo might not be able to curb.

Do you think Bravo should hold off on filming Season 7, and wait for Teresa to rejoin the cast? Would RHONJ survive without the Giudices?
