Kim Kardashian Isn’t The Only Celebrity To Pray About Her Breasts

Kim Kardashian’s cups runneth over, but the reality show star hasn’t always been happy about being blessed with big breasts.

During a recent interview with Elle UK, Kim Kardashian opened up about her body struggles. She told the magazine that her famous curves used to make her feel insecure, but her late father eventually helped her accept the size of her chest.

“When I was 13, my father wrote me a letter. I was unhappy with my body – I developed really early. Every night I would sit in the bath and cry, I prayed my boobs would stop growing. He told me I had a body not many girls have, that later it would lead to attention from men, but that the most important thing was that I was a wonderful girl and I had to understand my self worth.”

Unfortunately, one of Kim Kardashian’s sisters used to bully her about her body, making it even harder for her to come to terms with her unique curves. During a 2010 interview with Popeater, Kim talked about how Kourtney Kardashian used to make cruel comments about her developing breasts. Kim also described the odd ritual that accompanied her prayers for a flatter chest.

“Kourtney used to torture me and think I was odd because I had big boobs. I was 11 when I got my period and I started developing. I would sit in the bathtub, take a washcloth, put it under really hot water and put it against my boobs and pray to God, please don’t make my boobs grow any bigger. And Kourtney would be like, ‘Your boobs are so big and ugly!'”

Kourt would later find out that karma has a cruel sense of humor — unhappy with the size of her smaller breasts, she decided to get breast implants.

Kim Kardashian tried to use divine intervention to save herself from developing double D’s, but other celebrities have done the exact opposite. During an interview with Rolling Stone, Katy Perry revealed her secret for filling out that famous cupcake bra — she started praying for a larger cup size when she was just a tween.

“I started praying for [breasts] when I was, like, 11. And God answered that prayer above and beyond, by, like, 100 times, until I was like, ‘Please, stop, God. I can’t see my feet anymore. Please stop!'”

Katy’s mean classmates gave her the nickname “Over-the-shoulder boulder holder,” so she taped her breasts down for years. However, just like Kim Kardashian, she’s embraced her body now that she’s old enough to understand just how powerful those lumps of fat and tissue can be.

Model Kate Upton is another celeb who has begged a higher power for bigger boobs. During an interview with Elle UK, the voluptuous beauty shared her response to the haters who point out that she doesn’t look like most runway models.

“Wait – what? I’ve been begging for this body my whole life!”

Salma Hayek also had to get down on her knees and beg for the body that would help her score the roles of a celestial stripper in Dogma and a Satanic stripper in From Dusk Till Dawn. According to the Daily Mail, Salma told talk show host Graham Norton that she actually used holy water to obtain her heavenly body.

“I went to a church that had a saint that was supposed to do a lot of miracles. I put my hands in the holy water and went, ‘Please Jesus give me some boobs.'”

Obviously her prayers were answered, but Kim Kardashian’s appeal for A-cups didn’t exactly pay off.
