We don't have official Star Wars posters yet, but the highly anticipated release of the teaser trailer has inspired some pretty awesome fan posters that can tie you down for the time being.
On Friday, Disney surprised fans everywhere with the online release of the first Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer. It had been previously reported that the clip would only be shown in nine select theaters across the U.S., but that clearly was not the case.
Luckily for eager fans, Disney decided to go the new route and release the Star Wars trailer online, which in turn means that we will see all sorts of fan art, which is already starting to be posted in various websites. The first batch is quite impressive and would do nicely as a first official poster (attention Disney).
In anticipation of official footage, fans have been busy imagining what we will see in J.J. Abrams' film and doing a very good job at it. After the Star Wars teaser was released, most posters are inspired by the controversial new lightsaber, which left some unhappy.
The one thing we could see is that fans will be treated to some new looking droids and weapons this time around. On the website Behance, Australian fan Kode Logic has some amazing Star Wars and he doesn't mind what he calls the "anti Christ" lightsaber one bit.
Deviant Art user CharlesTan imagined how the mysterious man in black looks like from the front.
A fan by the name of Phil Noto used inspiration from the original Star Wars posters and the new characters featured in the trailer. John Boyega appeared in the first scene, looking sweaty and lost, dressed in a stormtrooper uniform. Newcomer Daisy Ridley also has a brief appearance on the teaser trailer and is featured in this awesome poster, which has a black and white, and color version. Check it out.
Finally this one, shared by a fan on Sploid is really cool and very different from all the other ones we have shared here.
What do you think of all these Star Wars fan posters?
