'The Real Housewives Of New Jersey' Season Seven Filming Delayed Until After Teresa Giudice's Prison Release?

Filming on The Real Housewives Of New Jersey has reportedly been delayed, and it may not resume until 2016. According to a new report, Bravo is concerned that a seventh season, sans Teresa Giudice, wouldn't be appealing to viewers, so rather than move forward without her, the network could wait until her upcoming prison sentence is complete.

"Bravo is very nervous to do the show without Teresa," a show insider told Radar Online on December 2. "They fear that without her, the show will not be as big of a success."

"They're exploring shelving the season until 2016, when Teresa gets out of prison. By having her fresh out of prison, there would be a clear storyline. It would also pull on fans' heartstrings to see the changed Teresa back in the limelight."
After negotiating a plea deal in their fraud case, Teresa, who, as the Inquisitr reported, recently said she was "the whole show," and Joe Giudice received prison sentences. On January 5, Teresa is scheduled to turn herself in to begin a 15-month term. When her sentence is complete, Joe will serve 41 months behind bars.

As for the reports, which claimed Teresa wanted to return to The Real Housewives of New Jersey before her prison term began, Radar's source claimed they were untrue. "There are many people who are trying to hurt Teresa by claiming things that don't really have a strong basis in truth," the source said. "Believe it or not, Teresa really does not have an interest in being in the spotlight at the current moment. If you notice, Teresa is not currently doing any media. She could be milking this, but she's staying relatively quiet."

Just last month, as reported by the Inquisitr, a Radar Online source had a completely different story about Teresa's return to The Real Housewives of New Jersey, claiming she and her family would film season seven in the coming weeks.

"It was a no-brainer for Teresa to decide to do the show, because she obviously needs the money to pay off mounting debts," a source told Radar in November. "The producers were thrilled because it will result in a ratings bonanza."

The source also claimed Teresa was demanding top dollar for her return. "Teresa is using the girls as leverage to get more money," the source explained. "She knows [The Real Housewives of New Jersey viewers] will want to see how they are coping with the fallout from their parents' legal problems."
