Ginger White may have ruined Herman Cain’s campaign, as well as his marriage, when she came forward this week to make her affair with the GOP presidential hopeful public. White is sticking by her story, but she does feel bad about the pain she is causing Gloria Cain and her children.
White said that she was “deeply sorry” for the pain she caused Gloria Cain and her family. In an interview with Lawrence O’Donnell on MSNBC’s “The Last Word,” Ginger White said:
“I am not a cold-hearted person. My heart bleeds for this woman because I am a woman, and being in a situation like this cannot be fun. And I am deeply, deeply sorry if I have caused any hurt to her or to his kids, to his family… I never wanted to hurt anyone. I’m deeply sorry.”
Here’s the video of Ginger White on “The Last Word.”
The IBTimes reports that Ginger White claimed last week that she had a 13-year-affair with Herman Cain. After her accusations were made public, Cain supporters started combing through her financial records and said that White’s financial situation called her character into question.
White admits that Cain helped her financially, but that she issn’t being paid to lie about the affair.
“I would never come out with something like this if I wasn’t telling the truth. I know that travel was involved and sex was involved. I would never lie about that.”
White says that she never planned to make her affair public. It wasn’t until the media found her that she decided to come forward. White says that the media already knew about her relationship with Herman Cain before she came forward.
What do you think of Ginger White’s story? Herman Cain hasn’t admitted to having an affair, but he did admit that his wife Gloria did not know about his friendship with Ginger White. Cain said that he would make a decision about the future of his campaign after talking with his wife this weekend. Has the Herman Cain train been derailed?
