Paul Walker’s Father Remembers His Son On The Anniversary Of His Death

As the first anniversary of actor Paul Walker’s death approached, his father shared that not a day goes by that he does not think about his son.

“I feel his presence every day,” Paul Walker Sr. said in an interview with E! News.

Walker, an actor most famous for his starring role in The Fast and the Furious, was killed in a car accident on November 30, 2013.

“I miss talking to him a great deal. He had a good heart,” Paul Sr. shared.

Walker’s father recalled all of the laughs the family had in their home when Walker was a child. He told E! there were always a lot of practical jokes.

Paul left behind younger brothers, Cody and Caleb, and a 16-year-old daughter, Meadow.

Paul Sr. recalled the Thanksgivings of the past. He says his son humbly posed for photos with neighbors. He eschewed from the attention that comes with being a Hollywood actor

“He didn’t like the limelight. Paul said one time, ‘I really don’t like this business, but I can do a lot of good with the money I make.’ Paul just radiated love and you can’t fake that. Paul had a really good heart. I thought, ‘How did I deserve such a wonderful son?'”

Walker’s family, including his brother Cody, are working hard to keep the late actor’s organization Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW), which helps to provide disaster relief, up and running, reports the Daily Mail.

Walker launched ROWW in 2010. He worked to help those whose lives were devastated by the Haiti earthquake.

“ROWW continues to be, to function, to help others even after our primary contributor, my brother, Paul Walker has passed.’ I know he would be so stoked to know that. ROWW changed his life, and he was so proud of it. ‘I am so lucky to have had him as a big brother,” Cody said.

Cody said that his brother’s legacy lives on through his charity work. Back in January, Cody posted an image of his brothers Paul and Caleb as a tribute on Instagram and shared he would be taking over his brothers role in the charity, reports the Mirror.

“One of the many things I admired about my brother was his genuine desire to help others in need. As many of you know, in 2010 founded a disaster relief organization. It is with great honor that I have decided to join the ROWW team as Brand Manager. I look forward to working with like-minded individuals and partners to ensure ROWW continues to aid those in need in the years to come,” Cody wrote.

Paul Walker’s films that were released to theaters after his death include Hours and Brick Mansions. Paul’s final acting performance, Furious 7, will be in theaters on April 3, 2015.
