Breaking Bad ended over a year ago, but its influence on many still continues to this day. The show has spawned many clever videos, including this latest Breaking Bad rap song, “This Is My Product.” Although Walter White is presumed dead, fans just can’t get enough of the award-winning series, so Matthijs Vlot, who is an internet hero, as sited by Uproxx, for his creative rap-style videos, spent hours putting together this amazing video using only clips from Breaking Bad.
The video starts with that familiar theme song of the series along with Walter White and Jessie Pinkman in the car holding a big bag of “Blue Sky,” and then the rapping begins. Fans from all over the world should love this, as they get to watch their favorite characters back together if only for two minutes.
Breaking Bad first aired on AMC in 2008, and quickly became a phenomenon with its powerful and intriguing story lines by creator, writer, and producer Vince Gilligan. The show is about a struggling high school chemistry teacher, Walter White, who is diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer at the beginning of the series. He turns to a life of crime, producing and selling crystallized methamphetamine, in order to secure his family’s financial future before he dies, teaming with his former student, Jesse Pinkman.
As the series progresses, he inadvertently goes on to become the biggest meth dealer of the Southwest, until his cancer finally wins over the drugs. The series went on to become one of AMC and cable television’s most popular and critically acclaimed series, and garnered many television awards for best series, best actor, and countless other honors. As reported by the Inquisitr, a prequel, Better Call Saul, will soon be on AMC, and fans are already counting the days for its premiere. This new series will feature several cast members from Breaking Bad, and will hopefully fill the hole that was left in many die hard fans’ hearts when the series concluded.
As stated before, there are many spoofs in honor of Breaking Bad, most recently a great version titled, “Do You Want to Build a Meth Lab?” using the tune, “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” from Disney’s Frozen, which featured an animated Mr. White trying to get Jessie to be his partner again. Some of the spoofs are clever, some are not but all are worth viewing on YouTube if you don’t have time for some Breaking Bad binge watching.
