Eminem Details Rihanna Hook-Up In New Track — Or Does He?
Rihanna and Eminem practically set themselves up for rumors that the two were a couple. First, they released the mournful rap ballad “The Way You Lie,” and then they went on tour together, but the two stood firm that there was no sexual element to their professional relationship. Still, that hasn’t stopped some media outlets from reporting that Eminem’s Shady XV reveals his and Rihanna’s affair.
“What they don’t know is the fact that Rihanna calls me Pinocchio, meh/ She loves the way I lie/Sits on my face and waits for my nose to grow.”
Gossip Cop, however, jumped in and pointed out that the lyrics were coming unaccompanied from the rest of Eminem’s track — information that negates the possibility that he’s describing an actual hook-up with Rihanna.
“Pathological liar, oh, why am I such an a**hole/That my disguise is pants, but they on fire.”
Despite having already cleared Eminem and Rihanna’s relationship rumors, Gossip Cop continued to tear down the original Media Take Out article that made the claim. By distancing the original lyric from the disclaimer afterward, they said that Media Take Out was “willfully… choosing to mislead their readers.” They furthermore rebuked the publication for other stories published about Rihanna that they claim to have also busted.
“Of course, MediaTakeOut’s track record when reporting about Rihanna borders on horrendous. The webloid reported back in 2011 that the singer was pregnant, dating Travis Barker, and was going on tour with Chris Brown. Enough time has sufficiently passed to see that Gossip Cop was right to correct those stories, and MediaTakeOut was 0 for 3 on those claims. Just a few months ago, the silly site reported Rihanna was posing nude for Playboy. It’s was wrong then, is wrong now, and will remain wrong three years from now.”
The Rihanna rumor is actually pretty light fare for Eminem lately. The rapper was blasted for lyrics where he joked about punching Lana Del Rey in the face and the sexual assault of Iggy Azalea. Eminem released a song that many interpreted as any apology for his actions — though Slim Shady himself has made any official statements on what the song might mean.
“It just breaks my heart to look at all the pain I caused

And I’m frozen cause there’s no more emotion for me to pull from
Just a bunch of playful songs that I made for fun”
