December Netflix Releases — Grab Your Popcorn!

December promises to be a good month for Netflix subscribers. It is, after all, the perfect time of year to cozy up on the sofa with a bowl of popcorn and queue up some classics as well as some newer releases. Both the television releases and movie releases have some great options for December.

Some notable releases in movies include the classic American Beauty, the 1999 drama film directed by Sam Mendes, written by Alan Ball and starring Kevin Spacey. A Knight’s Tale also makes the list of releases coming in December, starring the late Heath Ledger. Ledger plays William Thatcher, a squire who changes his fate when he impersonates a knight, challenging the best knights in jousting competitions. The film, which premiered in 2001, also stars Paul Bettany as Chaucer, in a role that many believed stole the show in many ways.

Another good movie option is The Wolf of Wall Street, which will be released on Netflix on December 11. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and directed by Martin Scorsese, the film is based on the true story of Jordan Belfort, documenting his rise to a wealthy stock-broker enjoying the life that his fortune buys him, to his downward fall into crime and corruption.

And American Horror Story fans can rejoice, as well — Netflix will be releasing the third season of the show, called Coven. If it’s anything like the other seasons of AHS, you may want to put your little ones to bed before hitting play.

Please note that the list of Netflix releases is tentative, and subject to change at any time. The Inquisitr will make all attempts to keep the list current and up-to-date.
