Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher Return to Twitter

Our long national nightmare is over.

Recently-separated May-December couple Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, Twitter power users both, have returned to the microblogging service after their more than weeklong silence following the announcement of the break up of their marriage. Moore, 49, is even keeping her somewhat now awkward handle on the site, @MrsKutcher. Neither has tweeted since November 17th, when Kutcher sadly mused:

I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail. Love and Light, AK

Moore broke her Twitter fast by expressing thanks after last week’s holiday, enthusing:

Why do we have only 1 day for giving thanks? Is that why so many people feel unappreciated? Make this 1 of 365 days of Thanksgiving!

The star then re-tweeted a fan’s comment, who’d added, “here I am on day two…still thankful…:)” Kutcher has been a bit more active on Twitter after his November 24th return, marking more than a week off Twitter with the following tweet:

“I’m thankful for family, friends, you, & time to reach my potential. What are you thankful for? #thanksgiving”

Kutcher then followed up with a series of random tweets, though nothing approaching his previous level of activity on the site. (Which had earned him more than 8.5 million followers.) Among Kutcher’s water-testing tweets:
