Selena Gomez Tweets That Her Mom is Pregnant
While Disney star Selena Gomez got some good baby-related news this week when it seemed fairly certain boyfriend Justin Bieber was not the father of Mariah Yeater’s baby, she also had a bit to share from her personal life.
The singer was tweeting Thanksgiving tweets to her fans when she disclosed some family news. Mom Mandy Teefey, 35, she gushed, is pregnant with the 19-year-old star’s sibling. Selena said:
“Momma and Brian are finally letting me share the news… My mommys carrying my baby brother or sister ? I’m the happiest girl in the world!”
Gomez, apparently a user of Instagram, then added this pic she took of her mom:
Earlier this year, the teenaged star candidly talked about the after-effects of her parents’ divorce and admitted that she blamed her mother for a long time because she wanted a more standard family life. Gomez said:
“I blamed my mom a lot [for the divorce] because I wanted a family so bad. I wanted to have my mom and dad together. I remember just being angry with my mom. I still feel really bad about that…. Having me at sixteen had to have been a big responsibility. My mom gave up everything for me and had, like, three jobs. She supported me, sacrificed her life for me.”
Teefey commented:
“[Selena] would vent and yell at me and all I could do is just say, ‘I’m sorry–but you’ll understand someday.”
