‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Star Chris Pratt Trashes Mickey Rourke For Shushing His Baby

Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt has a reputation of being a nice guy, but there’s one actor who may not think so if they ever cross paths again.

Mickey Rourke.

In a recent interview with GQ, the “GQ Man of the Year” pick shares an encounter with Rourke that really left him boiling at The Wrestler star.

The two men found themselves on the same flight. Pratt, a new father, had his son Jack and his wife Anna Faris, the 37-year-old actress, with him. Jack wasn’t too in to the whole flying experience and began crying uncontrollably as babies often do. Mickey Rourke was having none of it, according to Pratt.

“Mickey was like ‘SHHHH!’, like he’s the baby whisperer,” Pratt said. “Like he’s gonna get the baby to stop crying when the baby’s mother can’t, just by aggressively shushing the baby. Motherf***er. I was like, ‘Damn, the f***in’ ‘Wrestler’ shushed my baby.'”

In other words, don’t expect Mickey Rourke to turn up in any Guardians of the Galaxy sequels.

As for Rourke, it’s probably a good thing for Pratt that things didn’t escalate. The 62-year-old actor has a long history in the boxing ring as both an amateur and a professional.

Even as he nears early retirement, Rourke is still not afraid to lace up the gloves. In fact, according to Yahoo! Sports, he is set to make his professional return in Moscow against a 28-year-old fighter. (Pratt is 35.)

While StarLord may look better than Rourke does these days from a physique standpoint, he’s probably a bit too soft to challenge Rourke, who isn’t afraid to take or throw a punch.

“Boxing is a serious part of my life. It taught me respect and determination, patience and concentration. I always dreamed of fighting a match in Russia,” Rourke told the news site in anticipation of the November 28 bout, which will be part of a card that also features a contest between top-ranked fighters Ruslan Provodnikov of Russia and Jose Luis Castillo of Mexico.

Then again, Rourke has sustained significant bodily damage throughout his fight career, so maybe youth would win the day. Either way, it’s a celebrity boxing match I would pay to see.

How about you, readers? Think Chris Pratt has what it takes to stand toe-to-toe with Mickey Rourke? And do you think that Rourke was out of line in shushing the Guardians of the Galaxy star’s child?
