‘Glee’s’ Final Season Moves To Fridays

Gleeks, get your tissues ready because details are coming out about the final season of the Fox musical.

According to E!,Glee is being moved from Thursday nights to Fridays. It’s not a huge surprise that this is happening. Although Glee was fine with not being able to compete up against Grey’s Anatomy, they still had room to grab their demographic.

Now that everyone is flocking to ABC for Thursday nights for the whole block of shows, our guess is they didn’t want to chance missing viewers. Plus, Fridays is historically where series go to die so it’s kind of fitting.

Glee will officially return on January 9 at 8 p.m. The powers that be have decided since fans have been waiting for so long for the season premiere that two whole hours of Glee is a suitable opener. With only 13 episodes, Fox doesn’t plan on breaking from the series, which means the show will have a straight run from start to finish without breaking. So, those who have been waiting around for Glee will have a binge-worthy last season ahead, even though it’s a short one compared to the 22 episode order the show usually has.

The last time the Inquisitr reported on Glee it was to give the fans some scoop on Kurt and Blaine’s off and on relationship. According to co-creator, Brad Falchuk everything is going to be alright.

“I have a lot of angry tweets. But look, it’s a new season and we’re exploring some stuff. We love Kurt. We love Blaine. We love them together. We love them apart. We love them all kids of ways. And I think that their relationship is a really great place to explore some more complicated stories.”

As for co-creator Ryan Murphy he explained Kurt and Blaine’s seesaw of a relationship in his own words.

“You have to have obstacles to have a happy ending. I’ve spent a year learning what they want. We have a list in the writers’ room that says, ‘What do the fans want to end that show?’ And our endings are all very uplifting, and I think by the end of it, people will be ecstatic and really thrilled by how things turn out. I am.”

Over the last few weeks star Lea Michele has been posting tweets about the final season.
