God Boy: Baby Born With Eight Limbs Draws Thousands Of Worshipers

A baby boy born in Baruipur India has become the focus of interest for many in the Hindu religion. Due to a birth defect, the baby boy has four arms and four legs. His deformity gives a resemblance of the God Brahma. However, not all worshipers are excited at his arrival, some fear it is a sign of the end of times.

According to Metro UK, the condition is believed to be due to the child, and his twin, joining in the womb. However, many that have traveled to catch a glimpse of the boy do not agree.

The child is known as “God Baby,” and a real name has not been released. His family was shocked by the birth, unsure what to think, and thankful that he is alive. A relative claims he is a gift from the Gods.

“When he first came out we couldn’t believe it. The nurses said he was badly deformed but I could see that this was a sign from God. In fact, this is a miracle, its God’s baby. Indian God’s have extra limbs just like this.”

Despite the gift, police are upset at the crowds that have formed, and are having trouble controlling the masses of worshipers. A spokesman for the police spoke his mind about the situation.

“This is a freak baby and it is tragic, there is nothing Godly about him at all. But the crowds are going berserk and clamouring to see the child.Hundreds are crying in the streets, hundreds of others are praying and setting up camp here. Some are even panicking and believe this is a sign of the end of the world.”

According to the spokesperson, he has never experienced anything like the situation in his entire career.

USA Today reported on the “God Baby” and stated that an eight-limbed baby girl was born in 2005. Her birth caused a similar reaction. When she was 2, her parents authorized surgery to remove the parasitic twin that had been absorbed into her.

Many times when a child is born with deformities, he or she becomes the source of fear and sometimes ridicule for the abnormal appearance. Many times the fear is unjustified. It is unsure whether “God Boy” will continue to be worshiped as he grows older, if he will undergo surgery to give the opportunity for a more normal life, or if he could become the target of one that fears he will bring about the end of the world.
