Three Grandmas Smoking Weed For The First Time: Yep, It’s Funny

The “Grandmas Smoking Weed” video now sweeping the web is six minutes of pure comic gold.

Posted by YouTube user Cut Video, the premise is pretty simple.

Three grandmas who’ve never smoked pot in their lives agree to do so for the first time. Afterward, munchies and Cards Against Humanity ensues which, if you’ve never played it, is one of the raunchiest and most hilarious card games ever invented.

Each round, one player asks a question from a black card, and everyone else answers with their funniest white card, which is usually pretty rough around the edges as you’re about to find out.

Just from the first minute or two, it’s easy to see which of the grandmothers has the easiest time with the new drug. The grandma on the left “gets it” right away and then offers assistance to her two pals.

The woman in the middle maintains a pretty even demeanor though noticeably affected. Of course, as is the case with younger folk, the “most stoned” of all is the one who doesn’t think she is.

We’ll let you guys have a look for yourself now, but a word of warning: the “Grandmas Smoking Weed” video is NSFW, as you would expect from anything that involves Cards Against Humanity, so keep that in mind as you’re sharing with your social network.

Whatever you think about the video, one thing is certain: it’s popular. Having been published on Wednesday, it has already climbed to more than 1.3 million views as of writing.

It’s also spurred some good discussion on the benefits and drawbacks of marijuana use.

“There’s no need for it,” says one commenter about smoking weed. “It causes apathy and kills motivation. I’ve seen what weed has done to my friends over the years.”

“To some extent, yes,” a second commenter answered. “But the bigger issues are that it interferes with judgment, short-term memory, reaction time, and learning, and the more often you smoke, the longer those effects last. But don’t worry, people will continue to fight until they can get high all the time, because the body is more important than brain function to what seems like at least 75% of the public.”

“Wow even a group of grandmas smoking weed and the world didn’t end,” a third sarcastically remarked. “The result was joy, giggling, and an increased appreciation for food.”
