Shaquille O’Neal Kidnaps TMZ Photographer, Turns Video Into ‘IcyHot’ Ad

Shaquille O’Neal kidnapped a TMZ photographer on Tuesday directly from the street.

TMZ Sports confirms that the “hostage” was photographer Adam, who shooting Shaquille O’Neal in New York City. As you can see from the video, the former NBA all-star decided spontaneously to kidnap Adam shortly after seeing him outside of a building.

Shaquille O’Neal spoke directly to Harvey Levin through the lens of Adam’s camera, confirming that he was going to take Adam with him since Harvey did not answer Shaq’s phone call last week.

Perhaps the funniest part of the video was that Shaquille O’Neal was able to turn the video footage of Adam’s kidnapping into a clever advertisement for IcyHot – the product that O’Neal has been endorsing since 2003.

In addition to using the video footage to recommend IcyHot to Harvey Levin to help him with his back problems, Shaq was also able to shine a brief spotlight on the CEO of the company (who was also riding in the vehicle next to Adam) as well as the tour that Shaq is currently on to further promote the product.

Fortunately, Adam was able to also take full advantage of this “kidnapping” and turned it into a standard celebrity interview.

During the interview, Shaquille O’Neal revealed that he is a huge fan of the hit Showtime series Ray Donovan, confirmed that he personally uses the Icy Hot products himself and makes bets with some of his friends about the “Who’s the Daddy?” segments of the Maury Povich show.
