Bill Hader Welcomes Third Child With Wife Maggie Carey

Bill Hader welcomed his third child with wife Maggie Carey. Hader’s rep confirmed the news to E! that on Saturday, November 15, Carey gave birth to a baby girl.

The pair are also parents to two other daughters, Hannah, 5, and Harper, 2. Bill and Maggie decided to keep up with tradition with naming their third daughter Hayley Hader.

Since leaving Saturday Night Live, Bill Hader hasn’t taken any time off, even though he’s slowly expanding his family. Since then he’s made appearances on The Mindy Project, Bob’s Burger’s, The Awesomes, and has done a ton of voice work for films such as Inside Out, The Good Dinosaur, Sausage Party, and he still has Angry Birds gearing up for production. Bill also starred alongside SNL alum Kristen Wiig in the well-received film The Skeleton Twins.

So how does Hader balance all of that work with two kids? We don’t really know, but Bill did dish on being a father in an interview with Conan O’Brien. “It’s hard, it’s great, it’s beautiful. I don’t sleep.”

Back in 2010, Bill was enjoying the many firsts that parenthood brings, including witnessing his first born go number two. At the time he told Jimmy Fallon on his late night show, “When [Hannah Kathryn] poops herself that’s the funniest thing because she just gets like a total blank look on her face and fazes out. It’s the loudest noise.”

While Bill Hader is the most recognizable name out of the two, Maggie is also accomplished in the entertainment industry. Carey is a writer and a director.

The To Do List starring Aubrey Plaza was her first huge feature, which she wrote and directed about a girl hellbent on losing her virginity before college. The film, she admitted, was loosely based on her teenage years in the 90s while growing up in Boise, Idaho.

Life got a lot better for Carey since her teen years, and she wed Hader in 2006.
