Amazing Explosive Armored Car Demonstration Video Goes Viral

The CEO of the armored car company never imagined that the explosive armored car demonstration he participated in, to show how safe his cars really are, would be an internet sensation.

When Trent Kimball, CEO of Texas Armoring Corporation, visited Fox News to talk about how safe the glass he uses in his armored vehicles is, he was setting himself up for a lot of notoriety. Not only did Kimball make it on the national network, the demonstration video went viral.

Talking to Fox & Friends host Steve Doocy, Kimball explained this is not the first explosive demonstration he’s participated in over his tenure and when asked what he told his wife about his day at work, he smiled and revealed he didn’t really share details about what he actually did at work that particular day. Kimball is seen sitting inside the vehicle — without flinching — while the shots are fired.

Mrs. Kimball found out a few days later about the stunt and was shocked when she realized that her husband had been inside the armored car the entire time an employee fired 12-shots with an AK-47, directly at the window protecting the father of seven-children.

Kimball explained they want to attract potential high-profile customers to their company and the quality of their products and that is why they put on this amazing video of the explosive armored car demonstration. The CEO said that many of his clients are wealthy politicians and people living overseas in dangerous locations.

“The glass is two-inches thick, it’s going to stop Ak-47, M-16, and 308-type weapons.” Kimball said.

As far as how much it would cost to armor a vehicle against explosives, such as the one used in the demonstration, Kimball said, “not including the price of the car, that’s an $85,000 job.” Not cheap, but if it will save your life, like it protected Kimball during the amazing video, it will be worth the price tag.

Doocy brought up the fact that business for the Texas company is booming in certain troubled areas of the globe, such as West Africa.

“There worry is being killed or even kidnapped on the streets for ransom,” Kimball — who revealed most of his clientele is overseas — said.

Doocy asked if the dramatic armored car video demonstration has helped with sales. “We have received hundreds of calls,” a pleased Kimball commented. Watch the amazing explosive car demonstration below.
