Walmart Black Friday Doorbusters And 5-Day Sale Highlights
Walmart Black Friday deals will be stretched over a 5-day period in 2014. Black Friday doorbusters begin during the Walmart Thanksgiving sale kick-off and continue through cyber Monday, with special discounts being offered both online and in brick-and-mortar stores around the country.
Thanksgiving at Walmart not exactly your cup of tea? No worries, the mega big-box store is offering online early Black Friday deals beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday. “Black Friday has become Black Friday week. Our customers want to shop when they want to shop so we’re trying to expand the times and product availability with them. Maybe we should just call it November,” Walmart Chief Merchandising Officer Duncan Mac said.
According to Fox Business experts, Walmart is hiring 60,000 employees this year and 250 of current Walmart managers started out their careers as seasonal employees for the chain. Walmart is the biggest retailer by sales in the world. Amazon is quickly closing the sale gap and is also offering Black Friday level deals on Thursday, Friday, and of course, cyber Monday.
Walmart Black Friday doorbusters will be held at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving, with more Walmart doorbusters beginning at 6 a.m. on Friday. Walmart has extended its price matching deals to include online items from other stores if those items are purchased in-store, the Wall Street Journal is reporting.
The retail giant will also be offering free shipping for online Black Friday shoppers when they spend at least $50 on items from their Top 100 Gifts page. Same-day pickup is also available on Black Friday at Walmart. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the 32-page Walmart 2014 Toy Book includes a plethora of the most popular toys of 2014. Special discounts will be available on themed toys from the popular Disney’s Frozen and Disney’s Cars movies during the Walmart Thanksgiving. A multitude of other toys, games and movies will be on sale and offered as Black Friday doorbusters throughout the holiday weekend and on cyber Monday.
Video game consoles Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Nintendo 3DS and Wii U are included in the Black Friday Walmart super sale. The Xbox One Holiday Value Console Bundle with Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed 5: Unity will be offered for $349 during the sale. Apple devices and Beats by Dr. Dre are also reportedly a part of the Black Friday Walmart 5-day mega sale.
