A Housekeeper Showed Up At Work To Clean A House — Instead, She Was Given The House

A Cleveland housekeeper got the surprise of her life today when she showed up to work, thinking she was going to spend the day cleaning the house where she was dispatched. Instead, she learned that the house is being given to her and her family.

Cara Simmons is a single mother of three who, according to the video posted above, has never had a day off in her life. In the past few years, the Cleveland housekeeper has been in and out of the hospital, suffering from exhaustion, and the medical bills have been piling up.

The good people at Break, via their YouTube series Prank It Forward, decided that Cara should be the “victim” of their next prank. While her family is at home, thinking she’s having a nice day off, Cara is at “work,” being “made to” do ridiculous “chores” such as eat a gourmet meal and receive a massage. Then the big reveal comes: the house she thought she was sent to clean is actually hers!

The first Prank It Forward video debuted late last March, according to this Inquisitr report, and it involved giving a waitress her “best shift ever.” But Barry Blumberg, spokesperson for DEFY Media (the organization behind the series), said that they wanted to take things up a notch.

“This time around we challenged ourselves to go bigger, and what better time than the holiday season to share more good and prank-filled surprises? The results will undoubtedly bring cheer to everyone that watches.”

More Prank It Forward videos are expected to come out in the coming days; who knows if they will be able to top giving someone a house?
