WWE: John Cena’s Heel Turn Has Edge Pulling A Vince McMahon

The possibility of John Cena’s heel turn has some fans saying it should happen, while others want to keep the face of the WWE intact. The wrestler Edge, on the other hand, almost pulled a Vince McMahon since he claims it’s really all about the business.

In a related report by the Inquisitr, Hulk Hogan thinks it’s possible John Cena could take on Sting at WrestleMania 31. When it comes to the upcoming WWE Survivor Series, Chris Jericho believes Team Cena needs to lose to Team Authority for the sake of the WWE Network.

When WWE Hall Of Famer Adam Copeland spoke to AlternativeNation.net, they spoke on a variety of topics, from the WWE Network to the possibility of his return to the ring. Unfortunately, the latter is unlikely to happen.

“I kind of closed that chapter when it got closed on me due to injury. Here’s the thing I’ve always said, is if I can’t get in the ring, I don’t want to be close to the ring and not get in, because that’s the fun part. For me, the performance was always the fun aspect of it. Sitting back and watching and talking about it, I just don’t know how fun that would be for me. It’s great for some people, I just don’t know if that’s for me.”

When it comes to turning John Cena into a villain, Edge is also pretty negative about the idea.

“I would guess he’s probably moving a lot of merchandise, so why not stick with that? I think that’s probably a good gauge for popularity, you’ll have a lot of guys not like the character, but if 3/4 of a family is liking the character, and buying the merchandise, and 1/4 isn’t, you do the math.”

Of course, not everyone agrees it’s impossible. The idea for John Cena’s heel turn has Hulk Hogan offering tips on being bad yet popular with the fans so that the merchandise doesn’t stop flowing.

“If John Cena ever turned heel and really stole some of Hollywood Hogan’s tricks and backstabbing tactics, I think the people would cheer him out of the building. I think the fans would go crazy. I’m not talking about Thuganomics, I’m talking about being a stone cold, heartless, no good bad guy… I think Cena could pull it off.”

Besides Vince McMahon’s favorite topic, the other reason most fans believe Cena should not turn heel is because of his association with the Make-A-Wish foundation and the WWE’s sponsorship of cancer-fighting organizations. It’s claimed that if the heel turn is not handled properly then the fan base would be upset.
