Kim Kardashian Nude Photo Shoot: She Got Paid — What? The Answer Will Shock You (It Really Will)

Kim Kardashian and her nude photo shoot for Paper Magazine — which turned out to expose not only her famous behind, but, well, pretty much everything else — has brought the publicity-magnet Kardashian a dose of sudden notoriety extreme even by her own standards. It must have made her rich — even richer than she already was — right?

In the long term, the snowballing publicity from the nude photo session with French shutterbug Jean-Paul Goude may indeed result in additional millions pouring into the Kim Kardashian bank account. But for the nude photo session itself, amazingly, the reality TV icon received a big, fat check for exactly —

Zero.

That is correct. Kim Kardashian, according to a report on E! News, was paid nothing, no fee whatsoever, for baring her front, back, and sides in front of Goude’s camera and the eager gaze of the whole internet.

“Kim was not paid to appear in the magazine,” a Paper PR flak told the E! site. “She was very excited to work with French photographer Jean-Paul Goude. Paper has never paid anyone to be on its cover.”

While The Inquisitr canmot reproduce the nude photos here, the entire Paper Magazine article “No Filter: An Afternoon With Kim Kardashian,” including the fully nude and partially nude photographs, can be viewed at this link. WARNING: The images are definitely NSFW (i.e. “Not Safe For Work”) and if you find full frontal female nudity offensive, the nude shots will certainly offend you.

So why would Kim Kardashian, whose entire life and career consists of selling her own image, offer up a nude photo — an item in high consumer demand to say the least — for the low, low price of free?

According to what the Paper people told E!, she simply wanted to be photographed by Goude, who is perhaps best known for his high-gloss photos of singer and disco icon Grace Jones in the 1970s. Goude and Jones were in a romantic relationship at the time.

But when it came time for the shoot, doffing her duds was completely Kim’s idea, not Goude’s.

“Kim’s attitude was ‘if we’re gonna do it, let’s really go there.’ And it was her idea to take off her clothes and show more than her butt,” said the mag’s editorial director Mickey Boardman. “But we didn’t say ‘let’s do a cover with your butt hanging out.’ She said she was willing to take her clothes off and one thing lead to another.”

Kim Kardashian already has a reported net worth of $65 million, and though she was not paid for the nude photo shoot, that figure is likely to rise on the back of the massive publicity she has generated for herself this week.
