WWE News: Daniel Bryan Return Timetable

It seems like it’s been a lifetime since Daniel Bryan was on top of the world, after winning the WWE championship at WrestleMania 30. In reality, it’s only been a little over seven months since Bryan’s feel-good moment back on April 6, when he defeated Triple H to earn a spot in the main event, where he then defeated Batista and Randy Orton to win the WWE championship.

Bryan, who has been out of action since this past spring, is still scheduled to have Tommy John Surgery in the near future, due to the fact that he hasn’t been regaining strength in his arm after a few months of rehab following an invasive neck procedure performed on Bryan this past summer.

It’s been speculated that Bryan may be forced to retire due to the nature of his injuries, but Bryan claims that he doesn’t intend to retire, and will do everything he can to get back into the ring as soon as possible.

As for a timetable for Bryan’s return, well, there’s still no official date set for a Daniel Bryan return. Before it was announced that Bryan would need a second surgery to restore strength in his arm, it was speculated that Bryan would make his return at the Royal Rumble event on January 25 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Now, with Bryan needing a second operation, his return could be held off until after WrestleMania 31 at the soonest.

Rehabilitation from Tommy John Surgery, which Bryan is scheduled to have at some point, takes anywhere from six months to a year, and in some cases two years. So if you believe that Bryan will be quick to recover from the surgery, he’ll likely be back around April or May at the soonest. However, August or September is a more realistic timetable for a Bryan return to WWE.

WWE fans got excited recently when they heard that Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns would be making public appearances soon. However, it was revealed that their appearances were related to the launch of the WWE 2K15 video game, and that they wouldn’t be appearing on RAW or SmackDown.

There’s no doubt that WWE fans are clamoring to see Daniel Bryan back in a WWE ring soon, as WWE is lacking main event level talent with some of their top guys suffering from injuries. Unfortunately, it’s likely that WWE fans will have to keep waiting patiently, as it could be another year before Daniel Bryan is back in a WWE ring.
