What If ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians?’ Was Like Real Life? How Annoying Would The World Be?

Keeping Up with the Kardashians is classified as a “reality” show, but let’s face it, the daily exploits of the Kardashian clan don’t bear much resemblance to any “reality” that most of us know.

But what if they did?

That’s the high concept behind this BuzzFeed parody video, which reveals — in highly amusing fashion — what life might be like for any family, or any group of sisters, if they lives and acted like the Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian.

The Kardashians have been making headlines this week. Between Kim Kardashian and her famous butt-shot on the cover of Paper Magazine, and Khloe with her insensitive, racially tinged online “joke” comparing her and her sisters to the KKK — because their initials are all “K,” get it? — the Kardashian sisters are often criticized for being famous despite having no actual talents.

But that’s not really true, as this week’s antics indicate, they do have at least talent — the talent for being famous. The Kardashians are good at one thing, and that is attracting as much attention to themselves as possible.

Now, there is some evidence that talent may be running its course. Ratings for the E! Network reality show that made the Kardashian family famous when it first went on the air in 2007 have waned recently. Keeping Up with the Kardashians, or KUWTK as its affectionately known to its fans, at one point pulled in between and 3 million and 4 million viewers for every episode — big numbers for a reality show on basic cable.

In the recently aired KUWTK Season 9 however, ratings came in at under 2 million per episode.

If fans are getting a little sick of the Kardashians’ shtick, well, that’s perfectly understandable. Just imagine living their life. It would be pretty annoying — as this video proves.
