Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried of The Bachelorette will be getting married in a matter of weeks, and now they’re sharing a few new tidbits with fans. While Desiree and Chris aren’t revealing their exact wedding date yet, they are dishing out some details on their honeymoon plans, wedding party, invited guests and plans for the future.
The Bachelorette stars shared the scoop on Hartsock’s blog. They share that they will be going on a honeymoon after their January wedding, but they haven’t chosen a destination quite yet. However, it will be somewhere tropical like Fiji or Hawaii, they say. The wedding party is chosen of course, and Des reveals that she will have eight bridesmaids.
As Hartsock had previously indicated, the wedding will take place in California even though the couple now lives together in Seattle, Washington. Desiree says that she chose California because she wanted good weather and she thought it would be fun to have a destination wedding for her guests. She also lived out there until she did the show and she still loves the area.
Which “Bachelor Nation” friends will be invited to the wedding? Desiree and Chris are still close with many of their The Bachelor and The Bachelorette co-stars, so there will be some familiar faces there. Desiree will have Daniella McBride, Molly and Jason Mesnick, Ali Fedotowsky and Jackie Parr there. It seems that Chris has invited Brooks Forester, Michael Garofola and Zack Kalter from his season with Desiree. Naturally the choice to include Brooks is an interesting one for fans considering how the last couple of episodes played out during The Bachelorette, but it seems that Brooks, Desiree and Chris have all moved on.
As for their plans for the future, Chris and Desiree say they’d like to have “maybe” three kids, but they’ll see how it all works out. In terms of where they’ll be in five years, they see themselves being married with kids and dogs, traveling and doing what they love. They have been talking quite a bit about getting a dog, but it sounds as if that’ll wait until their schedules settle down a bit.
Unfortunately for The Bachelorette fans, Chris recently confirmed via the Puget Sound Business Journal that ABC won’t be airing their wedding on television. Fans had hoped that maybe something else had fallen into place, but at this point that doesn’t seem to be the case. Surely after the date, though, Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried will share plenty of scoop with anxious The Bachelorette fans.
