Katerina Netolicka Dead At 26, Found In Bathtub By Brother

Model Katerina Netolicka was found dead along with her two dogs in an apartment in the Czech Republic.

Hollywood Life reports that the 26-year-old runway model was found slumped over in the bathtub by her brother. Netolicka shared the apartment in Litvinov with her longtime boyfriend, Jakub Petruzalek.

According to the report, Katerina’s brother became very concerned when his sister did not answer his phone calls. He went directly to her apartment and broke the door down since no one answered it. Inside of the apartment, he found the dead bodies of Katerina’s two dogs and lifeless sister in the bathroom. Lumila Svetlakova, the police spokeswoman, spoke to the New York Post about the death of Katerina Netolicka.

“The cause of death is at this moment unknown and we have requested an autopsy.”

In an interview with the New York Post, a model who worked with Katerina Netolicka in New York City several years ago recalled the history of her emotional roller coaster.

“One minute she was very happy, almost ecstatic. Then sometimes she was depressed and used to self-harm.”

A close friend of Katerina’s, Adam Smrcka, stated in an interview with Central European News that Katerina’s days of self-harming were over for quite some time and he did not know what could have caused her death.

“I don’t really know what happen. I know she had stopped self-harming and was very happy with her boyfriend. Maybe she got a spasm after kickbox training, or maybe it was a stroke.”

Katerina’s boyfriend of five years, Jakub, was out of the country at the time of her death. The 29-year-old professional hockey player was playing in Russia with the International Kontinental Hockey League at the time Katerina’s body was found. Katerina Netolicka was primarily known for walking the runway for such popular designer lines as Prada. Netolica also posed for Elle magazine and L’Oreal.

In addition to her love for modeling, Katerina was very passionate when it came to her kickboxing. Last month, Katerina Netolicka won the Czech Championships.
