Tim Tebow Adds to the Hype With 95-Yard Game Winning Drive [Video]

Tim Tebow is the next John Elway. Or he’s not. Tim Tebow had an unimpressive game last night against the New York Jets, but that final drive… well, you can’t argue with a 95 yard drive capped off with a 20-yard game winning touchdown run.

According to Sports Illustrated, Tim Tebow’s game winning touchdown set a new record. Tebow’s run was the longest-ever game-winning run by a quarterback in the final minute of the fourth quarter.

Here’s a video of Tim Tebow’s touchdown run.

The Broncos are now 5-5. With Tim Tebow starting, the Broncos have won four of their last five games.

But that doesn’t necessarily mean that Tebow’s performance is the reason why the Broncos are winning. The Broncos have won their last two games despite the fact that Tebow completed lass than nine passes. Last night, Tebow completed just 9 for 20 for 104 yards. The week before, Tebow completed 2 of 8 passes for a total of 69 yards. He did, however, have a running touchdown in both games.

Cornerback Champ Bailey told the Washington Post:

“Everybody looks at him from the outside. They don’t see what he has on the inside. Yeah, he might not be the greatest passer. But give him a chance at the end? I’ve never seen anything like it.”

Darrelle Revis told CBS:

“I’m just so shocked right now. The only thing I can say is he ran the offense the best way he could and they ended up driving on us on that touchdown drive. He did it. Tim Tebow did it. He shocked me. He probably shocked a lot of people. But he did it.”

What do you think of Tim Tebow? Overrated? Underrated?
