The hilarious trailer for the bust-a-gut comedy Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb has been released. This third movie in the Night at the Museum trilogy reprises the roles of one of Hollywood’s most loved and talented comedians of all time who is no longer with us: Robin Williams.
According to Yahoo! Movies, in the nighttime world at the museum where exhibits are magically brought to life, something horrible is awry. Williams, who once again portrays U.S. President Teddy Roosevelt, discovers that the tablet that has brought him and his museum exhibit buddies to life is somehow losing its magic.
This can’t happen. Something must be done.
That’s where the museum’s night security guard, Larry Daley, played by Ben Stiller, steps in to save the day — we hope. Entertainment Weekly reveals that Larry takes on the daunting task of flying everyone to the Natural Museum in London in order to reverse the magic-draining effect of the tablet.
This is easier said than done when you have an attitude-bearing rugged cowboy, Owen Wilson, and stoic Roman soldier, Steve Coogan, in addition to a trouble-making monkey. But it sure makes for a lot of action and more than a few belly laughs.
Yahoo! Movies reports that Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb was one of four final films to be released starring Robin Williams. The other films were Merry Friggin Christmas, (which is a comedy to be released on VOD this week), Boulevard, (dramedy that premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival), and The Angriest Man in Brooklyn, (a comedy that was released this past summer.)
Robin Williams posted the picture of himself below on his Instagram account on his birthday in July posing with Crystal, the monkey from The Night at the Museum.
His caption with this picture read, “Happy Birthday to me! A visit from one of my favorite leading ladies, Crystal.”
Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb is the last film to be released on December 19, 2014.
